Not Long Now

This year marks our 20th wedding anniversary.

To celebrate the event I planned a once in a lifetime holiday for Sue and myself to Canada. The planning has gone on for many months and the final details have now been completely sorted.

After initial reluctance and hesitation Sue and is now becoming genuinely excited. As the time draws closer I now hope I have covered all the details but I’m sure we’ll have a great time.

Spring garden

Yesterday I pulled out the last of the winter peas. We had a bumper crop this year but true to form I ended up with the beginnings of powdery mildew.

After loosening up the soil and raking it over I’ve planted some climbing beans where the peas were, the other bed has a mix of sugarloaf cabbages and mini cauliflowers. The third bed has zucchini, yellow button squash and sweet corn. Today we’ve finally had some much needed rain as both our rainwater tanks were empty. Hopefully tomorrow sees a warm day that raises the soil temp and give the seeds a chance to sprout

The first day

Always good to try new stuff. I have a fair idea of the content I intend to put in the blog but it will be a learning curve like everything else I do. Don’t be shocked if it disappears a few times as I learn how it all works.
